Belief *

Everywhere you look today to see an anti-religious slant on life; not surprising really when you consider what is perpetrated under that guise.
The problem is when you do away with something in your life, what takes its place?
Consumerism has been the mantra for the last few years, the problem with buying stuff is that once you possess it, you no longer need it but it has now come to an inevitable sticky end.
What are you going to replace that with?
The trouble is, belief seems to get confused with religion. It often isn't, but is there any harm in believing in something that most believe to be fiction.
Belief isn't just a whimsical notion, if you can't accept anything on faith you are doomed to be dominated by doubt.
Belief symbolizes the human ability to suppress the selfish, hateful tendencies that rule the major part of our lives.
Dare to Believe. a short video worth a watch.

Your words...if you can't accept anything on faith you are doomed to be dominated by doubt...are so very true. I have known people who refuse to believe in something because they are unable to see the 'logic' in it. They don't understand, they're missing the point. You cannot 'prove' faith. It's really quite sad.
